CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

We will have a congregational meeting on Sunday, March 7th  during the Sunday school hour.  We will vote on Ben Ladd's nomination for Deacon in this meeting.

JAMAICA MISSION TEAM DINNER/AUCTION

The Jamaica Missions Team is preparing for the annual Service & Goods Auction. The auction has been a successful method to raise funding in the past. This year we plan to include goods and services. We are looking for donations of services (raking, yard clean-up, babysitting, auto detailing, etc.) and new or near-new merchandise or other goods that could be auctioned off. No clothes please. Items such as new toys, new small kitchen appliances or other gadgets or tools, timeshares, sporting or theatre event tickets, are a few examples. Used items of particular interest such as antiques or a painting would be considered as well. Please see Jeff or Pamela Hofmann to discuss your items. Any contribution donated for raising proceeds is tax-deductible for the donor. Contact the Hofmanns at 860.742.1726 or wtsmllc@juno.com.

Please mark your calendars for culinary delight, prepared by our own chef Ken Hervieux! This has become an annual event not to be missed – Saturday, March 13th at 6:00 PM. Ken's own take on the Caribbean flavors, followed by the service & goods auction (see above). Watch for sign-up sheet in the next couple of weeks.

FAITH, FILM, AND PHILOSOPHY

Doug Geivett, professor of philosophy at Biola University, and editor of Faith Film &- Philosophy (Intervarsity) is coming to the Presbyterian Church of Manchester March 18th - 20th for PCM's inaugural conference on apologetics and the arts. The cost for the Saturday seminar "Film, Evangelism and the Church" is $10, as we are one of the sponsoring churches. For more information visit www.manchesterpca.org.

DINNERS FOR EIGHT OR SO

Please john us for Dinners for Eight ... or So and you'll have the opportunity to spend a wonderful evening of fellowship with other adults from PCC. It is scheduled for March 26 and 27. The dinners will be held at the homes of several families that offer to host a dinner. Guests are assigned to host homes. The host/hostess provide the main course and the guests bring a side dish.

 "MAKING KINGDOM DISCIPLES" CONFERENCE

Our church will be hosting a "Making Kingdom Disciples" conference on Saturday, May 15th. The aim of the conference will be focused intentionally on the church's role and assignment to make kingdom disciples and will feature a number of seminars incorporating the ministry of discipleship for children, youth, and adults. Training will be provided by local pastors and trainers from our denomination. Watch for registration information and other details to come, but mark your calendar now!

NEW FOOD PANTRY ITEMS NEEDED

Thank you to those who provide to the food pantry. New items needed include: peanut butter, jelly, canned soup, cooking oil, instant potatoes, and pancake mix. Please place new items on the floor inside the second pantry, and they will be sorted afterward.

VBS 2010 - TREASURE ISLAND!

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend VBS 2010: "Treasure Island," to be held at PCC July 25th-30th. Janice Nozka and Amy Hauser will co-direct this year. Help is needed in many areas – please see the sign-up sheet on the table in the Fellowship Hall.

We especially need teachers for the 4/5 year old and kindergarten classes, someone to help in the nursery, and several people to coordinate decorations.

This is our outreach to the children of the community. Please invite friends, family, and neighbors to join us this year!

EASTER FLOWERS

Easter Sunday is April 4th. If you would like to purchase spring flowers in memory of loved ones, please see the sign-up sheet on the table in the Fellowship Hall. After the Easter service, the plants may be taken home. Please see Amy Hauser if you have questions.
