Son Harvest
Vacation Bible School 2008!
Vacation Bible School was held from July 14th-18th at the church.
VBS Son Harvest 2008 was a YEEHAW and HOWDY good time for the 58 children who attended from the church and community.
We joined Uncle Zeke and Auntie Opal on their farm to help them grow the FRUITS of the SPIRIT. The children enjoyed Bible stories, songs, games, skits, crafts and yummy snacks!!! An offering of over $400.00 was collected for an orphanage in Manipur, India, and 130 tee shirts were decorated by the children for the children at the orphanage.
Following the closing program on Friday, we hosted an end of VBS family picnic. The children had a blast eating pizza, playing volleyball, tractor rides,and even water balloons.
We had a wonderful week and look forward to VBS 2009!
